Higher Education Consulting Options

Ace-Ed has been supporting educators and educational organizations for over ten years. Specializing in connecting college prep programs to P-12 problems of practice; instructional design, development and support; as well as program development and redesign; Dr. Greg Ross and his affiliates customize services based on need. Whether your organization is aspiring to acquire initial accreditation or continuous accreditation, introducing a new initiative, redesigning a current program, or designing a new program, a range of support services are available.
Initial and Continuous Accreditation
Accreditation is the assurance that educator preparation programs (EPP's) are functioning at a high level of excellence, releasing educators that are prepared to take on the challenges of the profession. However, it also assures that EPP continually self-assess and conduct evidence-based analysis of their programs. It also looks at how impactful the programs are as well and employer and candidate satisfaction (how well the program prepared the candidate for the position). With this evidence that is grounded in continuous improvement, we can ensure that preparation programs are more likely to produce successful educators.

Although each state is different, Teacher Prep Programs around the country rely on accreditation boards such as the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and the Association of Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP) to review departments, schools, and colleges which prepare teachers and other school-based educators. There are options for review of individual and advanced programs. Click here for details regarding your state partnership.

The Process
One band. One Sound. Like a well-trained and highly skilled musical journey, there are many parts to making an education program run smoothly. The university faculty, clinical educators, and other partners contributing to the development of pre-service teachers; all are part of the amazing band that creates one sound that we know as "a quality educator". With data to support the culture of excellence, the voice of stakeholders and partners, and the analysis of information to present a product that shows the work all have put in to make a strong foundation worth building on, you are able to show how many parts fit together to make one whole.

This process takes time.
The teacher preparation accreditation cycle is normally 7 years (a State decision).  There are options for accreditation that are based on the Partnership Agreement that the State has negotiated with the accreditation organization.  Depending on the selected option, the university prepares the self-study report and hosts a site visit to make its case for initial or continuous accreditation.

Dr. Ross and his affiliates do not represent any accreditation associations, nor can any accreditation outcomes be guaranteed. We will support you on your journey.
No matter the need of your EPP, we are ready and prepared to help you meet the demands of the accreditation process. See this list for accredited schools in your area.
